Hi, I am Yokis Bai.
I am an industrial designer based in Los Angeles.
My creative process often begins with the daily moments. I like to explore familiar things from unexpected angles, playing with different media to give ideas a tangible expression.
Other Ordinary
A photographic study of three household objects.
Morphē
A mouse shell folded from a flat printed sheet.
Nijimu
A digital form shaped by hand, an interactive experience for forgetting.
As an industrial designer, that exploration becomes more intentional. I look for specific tensions in everyday experiences, balancing different needs and constraints to find thoughtful solutions.
Sune
An earphone for dancers to enter their music. A hook to hold, a seal to keep the noise out.
Cove
A smartphone with its AI agent on the back. Information arrives only when asked.
Pres
A bottle opener that turns twisting into pressing, asking less of the hand.
I see design as a language.
Universal enough to be understood, distinct enough to carry a point of view. I explore through two paths — one expanding how I think and express, the other grounding ideas in people and constraints.
Eventually I want them to be the same.

A little more about me…
